Our lab focuses on advancements in medical imaging, with emphasis on emission tomography. We have developed a new mobile PET/SPECT system for bedside imaging. The system is capable of being moved within a hospital to image patients who cannot be easily transported to a conventional imaging facility, for example, patients in an intensive care unit. This unique device, which is currently under pre-clinical evaluation, promises to deliver PET and SPECT imaging technology to a critically-ill patient population. We are also currently developing advanced motion compensation/image reconstruction algorithms for cardiac imaging in PET, SPECT, and CT Angiography. |
